Sheraton Essen Hotel

The location was spot on for a visit to a concert or opera. There is an underground parking 'before' the hotel (Just drive to the entrance and you will be directed to it) 13 euro for 24 hours is reasonable. From hotel to concerthall is exceptional: you take the stairs to reception and from reception it is literally two doors and 10 meters walking through a corridor to to concerthall. Breakfast was very good: excellent food and plenty of choice. The breakfast room faces the park with a fountain in it. Even in winter it is gorgeous and looks well maintained. Staff is attentive, friendly and efficient. We had a room close to the elevator on the right hand side of the hotel, aware that we were going to the concert (Less walking, if any at all...) Room was beautiful, big and very clean with a lot of 'warm wood'. There was tea and coffee and a clean waterboiler to make you own. Modern bathroom with good working showers (rain and normal). We liked too their soaps etc, and the sustainable way of the bottles on the wall. No more small plastic containers!

The hotel is well located with conveniently located underground car park (CONTIPARK) which connects directly to the hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was excellent overlooking a wonderful park. The room was large and comfortable with a capsule coffee machine included.

Great position just in front of the u-bahn and s-Bahn. Good choice at breakfast, with a view on the park. Our room was upgraded for free, with complimentary water, tea and coffee.

Staff were very helpful, multilingual and left a lovely handwritten card and complimentary drinks for our stay in our room as they knew we were going to a concert. Over and above and the personal touches were appreciated.expectations and wonderful personal touch.
